Stainless AI, Inc. Appoints Mark Kortekaas to Advisory Board

Pasadena, California, June 12th, 2019 – Stainless AI, Inc. announced the appointment of Mark Kortekaas, former Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer of the Fusion Media Group (FMG) of Univision Communications, Inc. as a board advisor.

Mark Kortekaas has played a key role in successfully expanding digital media usage at major media companies throughout his career. In his role at FMG, he was responsible for setting and executing product and technology strategy for all of FMG’s platforms including Univision, Gizmodo, FUSION TV, and The Onion. He was central to transitioning the Gizmodo and Onion brands to G/O Media in April 2019. Mark also launched the BBC’s first iPhone app, as well as CBS’s Emmy award-winning March Madness platform and its live streaming of CBS Evening News. He helped re-launch USA TODAY Sports, including all of its digital Olympics coverage. More recently, he helped a startup develop a next-generation Enterprise Software SaaS platform and was the Global CTO for Elsevier.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kortekaas was Senior Vice President of Technology at Sony Online Entertainment and he also served as a Director of Technology at NBC. Mr. Kortekaas holds a Master of Science from the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University. He served as Vice Chairman and Board member of the Mobile Entertainment Forum.
